Dedication Page for Peter La Haye, Sr.
This information is solely provided to all our customers whom have asked over the years:
"Who invented these lenses?"
We are pleased to introduce him to you. Mr. Peter La Haye, Sr. along with his son, Peter La Haye, Jr. of Redmond, Washington. You can "Google" search Mr. La Haye's name to learn more information about him, his life, his family, his fortune, his celebrity, his patents, his inventions and his untimely death. He is most notably remembered for inventing the first intraocular plastic replacement lens for cataract patients/surgery around the world. He came out of retirement to develop this new and innovative company, Neoptx with his son's help. Thus the wonderous invention as we know today as the "Optx 20/20" StickonBifocal Reading Lenses. Mr. La Haye, Sr. was a high school drop out with a drive and passion in his heart to succeed. He's proven himself several times over with his many accomplishments.
Peter La Haye, Sr. (59) passed away on December 12, 1999 in a plane crash, along with his two pilots, near Gouldsboro in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania on his way to New York City for a meeting with the non-profit humanitarian organization, "ORBIS International" in which he contributed to faithfully.
We encourage all of our customers to contribute to a non-profit organization of their choice, as we do to several in our own personal lives. If you do not have an organization that you contribute to faithfully or would like to make a one time donation, may we recommend ORBIS International, the non-profit humanitarian organization working to fight blindness in developing countries through hands-on training, health education and improved access to eye care: the one in which Mr. La Haye contributed. To learn more or make a personal donation directly, contact ORBIS at www.orbis.org or ORBIS International, 330 West 42nd Street, New york, NY 10036.
May we say from the deepest depths of our hearts, "Thank you Mr. La Haye for everything you contributed to this world during your brief stay. May you rest in peace." Our Warmest Regards, The Morrises
